E-Mail addressess.  Brother Knights could you please send an e-mail to FinSec@sublimitykofc.org using your current e-mail address.  We would like to get more information out to our membership using e-mail as and additional means of “spreading the word”  The e-mail addresses will be used only for local council notifications so please feel free to share your e-mail address.  Down the road I may even set it up se we can bill you for your annual dues via e-mail but I need to have a current listing of our membership e-mail addresses.  Thank you for your help in this matter.

RAISE DUES  At our December meeting we voted to raise our annual membership dues from $24.00 per year to $36.00 per year.  We need more income if we want to pay our Supreme and State obligations and continue to support our many charitable causes.  A fact sheet was presented by our Financial Secretary outlining our annual income and expenses to show why it was necessary to raise our dues.  You can click on this link to view the fact sheet.  When you receive your bill in late December or early January, you will be given the opportunity to pay half of your dues ($18.00) now and you will be billed the other $18.00 in July 2012.  Please indicate you would like to become a semi-annual payor when you send in your check for $18.00.  You will also be given an opportunity to make an additional payment, with your dues payment, to support our three major charitable causes which are the Seminarian Support Fund, Right To Life and the Regis/St Mary Tuition Assistance Program, please be generous!

IMPORTANT With your billing statement you will also receive a copy of the an Individual Member Worksheet for the 2011 Survey of Fraternal Activity.  Please return this with your payment by January 25, 2012.  It is necessary to send this information to Supreme to insure the Knights of Columbus maintain their tax-exempt status.  The council report is due by January 31, 2012, that is why it is necessary to return these as soon as possible, if you would like to send this in separately, before you pay your dues, please feel free to do so!

Our council will hold the annual Valentine’s Day Steak Fry.  Please watch this web site, your bulletin and your e-mail for more details to follow.

Grand Knight Kendall Smith would like to have a Brother Knight from each Parish volunteer to keep him updated on what is happening at the different Parishes that serve our Council members.  Please speak to Kendall if you can help with that request.

Keep praying for Fr. McGivney's canonization!  He is closer to being a saint as his heroic virtue has been recognized by the Vatican.  One more documented miracle, and he will be St. Michael McGivney, the first American-born Catholic priest!

Please support our council EcoPhones Fundraiser, we can raise funds for our council by collecting and turning in certain used items for cash. So, if you have or know anyone that has the following items to donate (WORKING OR NOT) please hang on to them and we will collect them and send them in. EcoPhones will take the following items, Cell phones. Ink Jet printer cartridges, VD Movies or DVD video games, Laptop/Notebook, computers, MP3 Music players, Digital Cameras, Digital Video Recorders, Digital Picture Frames, GPS Devices, Portable DVD Players, Video Game Consoles. Remember, they will take these items working or not, so if you've got some of this stuff you don't want or are going to throw away items that are broken, throw it our way and we can turn it into cash for our council. Bring them to the meetings, or call Kent Purdy at 503-881-1244 for pickup or just hold onto them and I will hopefully have collection boxes at our parishes soon.

Our council is currently looking for members to volunteer as licensed Food Handlers and Alcohol Servers for our council events.  Please contact Brothers Randy Buchheit, Jerry Etzel, or Kendall Smith for details.

Please Contact Brother Ron Bernt  if you would like copies of our council brochure.  They are available in black and white and color.

Please try to thank Brother Jerry Weis at Weis and Associates for volunteering to print our monthly bulletin.  This kind of support is what makes the Knights the organization they are.
